It seems like it was at times fairly active. I belong to the Michigan Violin makers Association, and that was really growing: until....

But that group has quarterly meetings with a demonstration of a speaker, elected officials, a newsletter, annual dues, a library, and a lot of professionals, especially around AA. I don't think this was ever like that. I was a bit bummed that the category was there; but inactive. I don't know what I'm doing, so it would be nice if once in a while I could see what.other guys are doing, and get feedback too.

I bring things to the MVA meetings, and they point out all kinds of things I didn't even notice. But then I've never been trained, so I learn all kinds of.stuff.

Besides get togethers, questions might work better on the main forum. I saw today the VSA convention this year is virtual. Politicians sure mess.things up.

Yeah, in person get togethers are not wise in the current situation. The MVA sounds like a good organization but probably more robust than what is called for with us guitar nuts. At some point it would be fun to get together with luthiers in the vicinity. We spend so much time thinking about things that normal folks cannot fathom.
You are right that the main forum is the place for questions. But it would be interesting to see who is local.
